THE LINEAR STORY starts in the mid 90's when Linear Fly Fishing owner / developer Brent Gill and his family operated Gill's Fly & Tackle in Langley, British Columbia. Brent was a dedicated Stillwater Fly Fisherman since his early childhood, so being able to sell and explain fly rods to customers and the general public was and is a passion for nearly 30 years. Brent was a member of the G-Loomis pro staff in the late 90s, which also lead him to touring many rod manufacturer's plants. So fast forward to 2020. Brent wanted to design & provide what he would consider the ultimate "controlling stillwater fly rod" that would cast and control the latest and greatest stillwater designed fly lines with ease and precision. After 14 months of shipping demos and product research and development, a custom IM10 4 piece Japanese Toray Carbon fly rod was finally created. The journey to get a superior 10'4" single handed fly rod has arrived.
